The Auckland Cobra has all round disc brakes, Goodyear F1 Eagle radial tyres on 17 inch one-piece Hallibrand wheels, provision for ABS and traction control, manual/automatic 5-speed gearbox, and 289 or 302 Ford V8 engine. It has an overall weight of 1000kg supported by the 4 wheel independent suspension.

The Auckland Cobra has been designed to accurately portray the original AC Cobra but has been enhanced by modern technology. The 2 door roadster can seat 2 and complies with all New Zealand Road and Safety standards.
